I saw corner peeking out of a small pile of gravel in the gutter during class change on Thursday. I almost walked right by, but I turned back to make sure of what I saw. Then I saw a 20, and I knew what I was looking at. I grabbed it and wiped off some dirt, which revealed a quite soiled, but still good, $20 bill. I checked to make sure it was genuine, and it passed. So I am now $20 richer. Not a bad day.

I don't know what happened to the pictures. They were correct on my iPad...

Very nice eyeball find. It really does pay to keep your eyes on the ground.

Congrats...I have been fooled by several of the religious tracts that are disguised as folded $20 bills. Can't imagine those really work in the favor of those who distribute them. Just piss#s me off when I find one thinking it's a real $20. Shouldn't that be some kind of counterfeiting violation?

Nice ground score!

I've found about $40+ on the ground since I've been at this school. My friends are always jealous when I find money on the ground right in front of them, but their eyes are never on the ground. :)

Sweet find. Way to keep your eyes peeled.
I remember back in the 60's (1960's, not 1860's) me and my buddy were riding our bikes home from the store and I saw some green bills out in the road.
I threw my bike down and snatched them up. I think it was about $6, but to a 10 year old kid I thought I was rich. :laughing7:
Thanks for the post,

Always a great find. Ever since 1975, when I first started MD, I read a book on all sorts of treasure hunting and there was a piece on "eyeballing." I have only gotten better as the years gone by. Anytime I am going anywhere, especially parking lots, I always scan (eyeball) the area very closely. As you can imagine, this has paid off very well. Believe it or not, I have found several bills. Also, with all the snow around these days, a great place to eyeball is in the area of the parking lots that all the snow is piled up at.(when it melts) Almost always finding something there. Food for thought. Again, great find!

Back in the 1990's I lived in southern Utah. There was a gas station/store out in the middle of nowhere in the high desert that had frequent strong winds. One day I saw a tourist chasing a 20 dollar bill that the wind had snatched out of his hand. That gave me an idea so I started hiking through the surrounding area searching the scrub brush and trees. Sure enough I found a number of bills including two 20's. I made it a habit to go out there every month or so looking. Averaged about $40 to $50 per visit. Have since moved but sure do miss the "money trees".

Never know just what you'll find or how you'll find it! Nice!
