Found this button today

Having a parking spot put in today and I decided to have a quick look see. Found a bunch of pennies and this button. Any clues on the button would be appreciated. Thanks and happy hunting.




Added couple more photos. Looks like it may have been gold plated at one time.

I would guess it's a modern blazer button. Looks like the back may be rusted out.

Not knowing the dimensions makes it a bit of a challenge.
But I'd have to agree with duggap, it's a 20thc blazer or possibly a school uniform button.

The amount of time it would take in the ground to corrode the metal on the back, leads me to believe that it's earlier as opposed to later.
