Found this brass or copper plate (need identify)

Have an old location ready to be torn up to make way for a medical center. Was looking around what looked to be limestone foundation and with alot of junk around was able to pull this out.

It says

That's an interesting piece!  The "A" with the two dots is an "Umlaut," as in German, Hungarian, and other Eastern European languages.  The misspelling of the word "America" is quite interesting too. 

Could have been an address plate or luggage tag from an immigrant to your area perhaps...


Other than that, I'm clueless.  But I think it's really Kewl.  :thumbsup: What size is it?

Ks and Cs were interchangable in Stone and Brassworks for a while. Like Vs and Us.

Looks like a metal plaque used on an old historic home. A historic marker.
 

2 inches high 5 to 6 inches long

I found it in My county of williamson County texas no historic names or homes of that description ill have to wait till monday to go to the historical commision have them research it.
 

Beata Karlsson is a swedish name. Mostly old ladies have that name nowadays. We swedes also spell america- amerika and use the letter Ä so i bet its swedish.
