Tried out this new spot I found in my local conservation area in southern Ontario, ended up finding this sweet coin. I've only cleaned it with a bit of water and a silver cleaning cloth to clean it a bit more, what condition do you guys think it is? And should I clean it more or leave it, thanks.
For being dug, that is in very nice shape! It is probably in F-VF condition. I believe it is the pointed leaves variety and not the more valuable rounded leaves variety.
those Edward 7's don't wear very well and yours still has nice detail on the crown and face, not to mention a very clear date and "Canada" on the reverse. That is a very nice coin for a type set collection.
Thanks for all the feedback guys think I'm going to add er to my coin collection, pretty cool this coin came out of the ground after all this time and it's in decent condition! Take it eas
I would leave it as it is. Looks like the pointed leaves version but still a great find. Composition: 92,5 % silver, 7,5% copper, makes a great signal.
WTG!
