The pointed farm implement looking item has a stamp on it as I attempted to show in the close up. Both were found close together. I can't decide if one has anything to do with the other. Thanks!

It looks like a hurricane might have gotten the weather vane. I'd like to see a photo of the 'face' of the item on the right. WELCOME to the forum. :) Breezie

The pointed one, as best I can tell from the picture, looks like it might be a guard off of a sickle bar mowing machine. Need measurements and a side view to be sure.

I dont have a clue as to what they are but your question had me laughing out loud when my wife said it sounded like something Jeff Foxworthy would say. "If a sheriff ever woke up your parents at 1:00 in the morning to ask, Found these two together. Are they related? You just might be a redneck!" I now hang my head in shame but still can't quit gigglin.

Could the thing on the right be a branding iron?

The item on the right looks like a part to an andiron.

CoilyGirl, yes, the face does look like a branding iron :) , but I think the handles on branding irons are straight instead of curved.

The end that looks like the hook part is broke off. (not a finished end) It would have had to had some length to get the leverage to break. If that was the case it should not be a hook? I think its to dainty to be a branding iron. its also real heavy for its size. Does all iron weigh the same?

Having branded many head of cattle and a few horses, that would not be a brand that would be applied hot to any animal. All that would result would be a something that looked like the animal was branded with a frying pan. To be readable, brands have to be open. That said, if large enough it could be a paint brand for sheep, those use short handles.
