Found the most unusual Whatsit today .. Thought it was a glass eye!

Rang up like silver, and I believe it is a silver dime encased in some sort of rosin. I can see reeded edges on the coin and is the same size as a dime. It is domed shaped on the front and totally flat on the reverse. The rosin is sort of a light amber color. Crazy piece!

The rosin is sort of a light amber color. Crazy piece!

The rosin could be Bakelite. It's hard to make much else of the piece with some additional pics... Let us see the back and a side view and one with a dime so we can better judge the size. You know the drill...
