Based on my experience, you'll find a 50d if you have the determination and patience. I wanted to fill that last slot and got impatient, took a couple nickels with big cuds that I had found, and traded them for a nice 50d so I could say the set was completely from hunting. Then in the next few months I found 3 50d nickels in my hunting.

Cool - I just need a 38S. And a 2009P - which I thought would be an easy find. Turns out they don't exist out here in the west. Only 1-2 2009Ds are seen in a box.

Thank you! I've found 1-38-S so far. They are tough despite being out here on the West coast. I have found 4 39-S nickels so far. 3 were in an 11 day timespan over the summer...

As for the 2009-P, those are extremely hard to find out here indeed. I find 1 about every 6 boxes worth or so. In contrast, I usually find around 4 2009-D coins per box worth searched. It's about a 25-1 ratio for me.

Wow... you found three? That's crazy. Awesome! I found one about 28-29 years ago... back when I was a cashier at a fast flood place. I go through around 10,000 nickels per week, so I definitely have the patience and determination down!
