Hi all,

My mother recently found what looks to be a indian artifact. The item was found near her pond while she was planting plants. She lives near Front Royal Virginia on a mountain by a creek that feeds into her pond. I was wondering if anyone could tell me what exactly it was used for, who used it and how we should go about looking for other artifacts on her property?

It is a CELT. They were used in the fleshing of hides and such. A nice find...d2

THANKS D2. Do you know what era it could be from? Also would it be worth searching the area for more artifacts? We have found a couple older looking horse shoes around the yard.
