Found something interesting on the beach today... it's not metal .

Hey everyone, so my neatest find today on the beach wasn't metal, but seeds! I found these two large bean looking seeds in the surf today. At first I just kinda threw them in my pocket not thinking much about them. I just found out that there is a whole hobby dedicated to finding seeds on the beach?! And it's called "beaning" . I found a site that even claims there's beach bean collectors. Definitely new to me. Supposedly most of these seeds drift all the way up to the Florida coast from tropical areas down south. They could be seeds to almost anything, including exotic jungle plants. I thought that was pretty neat. After I searched and searched some more... I still cannot find out what my seeds might be. I was hoping some of yall could help. Thanks in advance and feel free to leave a comment. :) I'll leave the pictures in the comments below

I have to leave my pictures in the comments because my phone won't allow me to put them into the post for some reason

dude, plant em and in a few weeks you will know

Oh and I forgot to add... these were found near panama city beach , FL.

I actually just put them in a wet towel. Going to plant them tomorrow. So if they don't get identified we will all know sooner or later. Given that they sprout and aren't dead.

hey I have my wife post all of my pics, too complicated for me

I hope it's breadfruit, that stuff is good

I'm looking at pictures on google... I think the mammee apple seed looks similar to mine. Which is native to the caribbean and south america.

mammee? or mammary?

Mammee... not mammary. Or maybe it was manatee? Hmm.... lol

Looks like a Pistachio nut to me...

Oh, great! Another invasive species. I thought beaners were people from Boston? lol Thanks for sharing. We learn something new every day here on TNet.
Good Luck,
Phil
