Well, pretty good week this week, 59 40%'s and 17 90%'s, 90's are on the left and 40's on the right, I searched 12 boxes this week, 6 were skunks and the other six gave me these. I also found 6 magician coins this week too, spread through out the boxes and one 76 that looks like it's plated or something, looks silver on the edge ( thought it was a 90% when I opened the roll) but it isn't. Also, one of my favorite things to get, "REPACKED DUMP", they are starting to show up now in sealed boxes, these were the yellow and white rolls today, first time I've had those in a brinks box. Thanks for looking, and, Good luck to everyonme hunting today! HH, Maverick.

Awesome haul... The 90%s have been avoiding me lately..

Nice finds maverick. I've dumped lots of yellow and white rolls just like that - left them crimped on one end and open on the other. Hopefully you didn't have to deal with my dumped rolls.

Boris - how do you know those are Brinks rolls? All the rolls I get look like that, although they come in flat $500 boxes, not two tier boxes. They don't say Brinks anywhere, they are just yellow and white String rolls.

Rerolled Loomis rolls in Brinks boxes? That's weird.

Good finds, all the same!

Ya, that is weird, I think someone turned them into a brinks severiced bank and they handed them to the Brinks guy, then they repacked them and sent them out, some banks unfortunatly don't unroll them and bag them like they should, apparently the carriers must be willing to just take the boxes back now( which sucks) and just repack them at the facility. Maverick.

The rolls are Loomis, the boxes are Brinks. HH, Maverick.

I got 2 sealed boxes of the same last week. I'm not loving the "rewrap using the same wrappers that you checked, rebox and cash in" thing, have a feeling we will see more of this as Brinks and all the others try to cut cost.

Very, very nice finds Maverick! Helps you kinda forget about that crappy rewrap box.

Wow! That is a great haul! Nice numbers on the 90's!

Great finds! I need a week like that to get me to 1000 40%ers for the year. Haven't had a good group of boxes like that in a while.

Congrats!

I have noticed this a lot just lately. I have stopped returning coins in boxes.

The dumped Loomis rolls with one end crimped and the other end folded over are relentless in my area. More than 70% of Loomis boxes contain these. They don't show up often in Brinks boxes, but I've seen it.

I did find a box today with 44 yellow rolls and 6 brown rolls, and there was a 1964 and 1967 in one of the brown rolls. I didn't even bother with the dumped yellow rolls, though. Then I picked up 4 Loomis boxes that were all like that...

Sorry to hear that Thripp, it is the WORST feelin to open the boxes and see that, I hate wasting a dump to dump someone elses dumps. HH,Maverick.

Thanks BB, don't worry, it comes and goes, as you know, next week my be your great week. I'm gettin ready for the skunk streak to start again here, hopfully not, but just in case ya know. HH, Maverick.

I still rewrap a box or 2 every so often if I need qwik cash, but try not to so I don't get one back. Bags are the way to go, qwik and easy. HH, Maverick.

I'd call that a pretty good week. What are you planning to do with the magician's coins? I've got about a dozen of them now, thinking of unloading some on Ebay

I'm just going to hang on to them for now, I have 3 other ones I found months ago, I've never researched them to really see what they are all about or their values. I think they are pretty cool though and wonder how many I have just passed up on accident, I'm going to look a little better for them for now on though, I'm sure they have to be worth a few bucks to the right person though. HH, Maverick.

What do you look for to find the magician's coins? If a person edge serches only, are they more then likely to miss them?
Thanks.

They sound kinda hollow when you are sifting through your coins, I unwrap and then just kinda hold them in my left hand and drop them into my right and listen for a sound difference, I have found this to be tyhe fastest way for me to search and still see the coins with out date checking, anything other than clad will sound different instantly when it hits another coin and you can see as each one drops if it is something different too, like a Medio Balboa or a commemorative coin. If you edge search only, you will definitely miss them, unless you dump using a coin counter, which should reject them. About the only way to tell is by sound/weight.
