No ticks or snakes is a win! My husband got his first tick this year just yesterday. Nice fossil shells!
Thanks Lenrac2 . I was more concerned about running into a Northern copperhead snake. But I do worry about the kicks also.
 

Nice haul on the fossils.
Our house count is tied at 1 tick each for wife and dog.

Went back to the swamp today & found some more fossils. I believe these are Exogyra & Gryphaea fossils [oyster family] from the cretaceous period 145 to 66 million years age. Not a bad day today. Found some fossils, didn't find no ticks on me and didn't see any snakes.

Thanks old digger. The land is being cleared for a residential housing development which is exposing all the fossils. Everytime I go there I'll pick up a couple more fossils. In 6 months it will be all townhomes there.
