Might be lead. If it is lead it will melt at 327.46°C. stay out of the fumes it will make and do it outside.
 

A little more descriptive information would be helpful - weight ? can you scratch or scrape the surface easily ?
 

I scraped it and its really hard , real shiny underneath. Thought maybe lead don't know. Found near lake next to old house remnants with metal detector right at surface
 

Looks like zinc to me
 

Scratch/score it and put vinegar on the area, if it foams a bit then you have a zinc ingot.
 

I'm no expert, but I think it's a nickel ingot
