Ive found a virgin spot thats been giving me up lots of goodies! Tons of barber dimes, Merc dimes, Rosey dimes, and silver Canadian dimes + lot & lots of buffalo nickles, war nickles & IH pennies, tons of V nickles, and shield nickles, and some things I just cant identify. Please help me out and correct me on these finds. They seem very interesting. I think I found a war bullet & firing pin, a weird coin with a big mushroom which looks like a frog on a lily pad (maybe gold) a religiose mary (maybe gold), and a very weird coin from Boston ( maybe gold) also a bicentenial (Looks silver were they ever made of silver ) aA solid brass buckle it says on the back of . Is it old? Heres some pics of my unknowns.

Your bullet is a modern jacketed rifle slug, you'd need to measure it to get an ID on it. The other piece I doubt is a firing pin. I'd need to see a close up pic with measurements, but I think it's more likely a punch of some sort.

Can't help you with the rest, but I'm sure someone can.

The "coin" is from the Boston School of Physical Education 1915 - 1930. After 1930 the name changed to the Bouve Boston School of Physical Education. What does the back look like? It is so small. Maybe it was a lapel pin.

I may be wrong but gold does not corrode like that... brass or plated brass at best, but way cool finds none the less, congratulations are in order. :headbang:

The frog on the lily pad is probably a necklace or charm instead of a medal. The item under the jacketed rifle bullet is a 'punch' of some type. I've found several like that. Sheldon is correct; gold doesn't corrode like that. Nice finds, Breezie

I found that info. too but i'm not convinced (just yet anyway), only because of the position of the wording on it. I'd like to see a better photo of the lettering to the right of "School", it's out of focus. I'd also like to see what the back looks like. I'm betting a pin too because of the size.
