DIDN'T GET A LOT OF GOOD SIGNALS TODAY BUT THE ONES I DID WERE CERTAINLY GOOD ONES! THE 64TH FRENCH BUTTON IS ONE I HAVE ALWAYS WANTED TO FIND. THIS REGIMENT MADE UP THE ROYAL ARTILLERY AND WERE INSTRUMENTAL IN OUR VICTORY FOR INDEPENDENCE AT YORKTOWN. THE SMALL PIN HAS THE CADUCEUS SYMBOL, SYMBOLIZING THE MEDICAL PROFESSION , SOLDERED TO ITS FRONT. I AM COMPLETELY STUMPED BY THIS ONE. THIS WAS FOUND AT THE SAME HOMESITE I HAVE BEEN DETECTING FOR THE LAST WEEK. IT IS VERY OLD WITH ITS ATTACHMENT PIN BROKEN OFF THE BACK. CAN ANYONE DATE THIS? I KNOW CERTAIN SYMBOLS LIKE THE MASONS HAVE BEEN AROUND SINCE BEFORE THE REVOLUTIONARY WAR AND I AM AWARE OF MASONIC PINS IN GOLD, SIVER, AND BRASS BEING EXCAVATED BUT I HAVE NEVER HEARD OF AN EXCAVATED CADUCEUS PIN. THE COIN IS A VIRGINIA HALFPENNY . AND LASTLY IS WHAT IS LEFT OF AN EARLY US BUCKLE WITH AN IRON ATTACHMENT DEVICE. I WISH IT WAS IN BETTER SHAPE BUT AS THEY SAY "IT IS WHAT IT IS".ALSO FOUND SOME MISCELANEOUS BRASS, LOTS OF MELTED LEAD, AND LOTS AND LOTS OF IRON AND SHOT GUN SHELLS! DEVONREX
