We were out taking family pictures, I looked down and saw this on the ground. I'm not 100% sure but I believe it is a piece of Amazonite.

On the other hand my wife is pretty sure I found a piece of "nasty old gum" lol

very nice find....might also be a very low grade Turq...be interesting to find out which.

I asked a friend and he didn't think it was Amazonite either, could be Turquoise ??

At first glance, it looked like a melted glass marble. Also looks like jade. Cool find.

Cool. My mostly uneducated guess would be jade. Much more green than the turquoise that I've seen.

Looks like aventurine to me -- a healing stone. ~Lisa

Looks to be the same color as some smelter slag found around Pueblo, Colorado. This was a big precious metals smelter area until a big flood destroyed it all.

Put it in your mouth and see if it still has some gum flavor. Interesting for sure.

Not gum for sure! Lol!

You are in the right location for a good find, better yet there are lots of knowledgeable people there that can give you a positive identification. Geological paradise.

I'm leaning towards Jade

I had to go back and look, lol, it dos look like a blob of green apple bubble gum. but im just kidding :laughing7:

i have two of those, but found on the beach so i figure polished jade pebbles.

Look's Interesting .
I would go into my 'what is it?' Rock Jar. Until I knew what it was.
