I found this on our farm and I don't know what it is. Does anyone have a guess? It is 6"x3"

I have never seen a guard/tooth that looks like that. I am not convinced that is what it is.

Well it makes sense for our farm. The prior farmer ran his equipment into the ground, literally. We’re always finding parts and pieces of his equipment. We just don’t know about that stuff. Once rchair gave us the name, I was finding all kinds of pics. And we could tell it’s broken when we were looking it over. I am satisfied, but it is BuckIdgr’s find and thread.

I have never seen one curved like that, and architecturally, it's all wrong. Looks more like a bolt on leg, or running board support, or something other than a sickle mower tooth. But if everybody is satisfied that that's what it is, I don't mind being the naysayer.

I cheerfully support your naysaying.

LOL..well I thought the mystery was solved, but now I'm having doubts. I will clean it and see if that helps.
