Found on Old Logging Skid Road - Logging or Wagon Related - Solved, Clevis

Hi Everyone,

I hope someone can ID this for me. I am guessing it will be an easy one for those familiar with this stuff. It was found on an 1880's logging skid road that has also seen continuous use to present day as a pasture road on a cattle ranch.

Anyway, I am just taking a guess on this one. I am hoping/guessing that it was used somehow by the oxen teams to drag the logs to the loading areas or possibly off of a wagon. Oxen shoes have been found in the area.

looks like a clevis. probably use with those oxen.
