I thought so too. But found on remote trail. Has what looks like screw base like a major or lt colonel lapel pin would have and the little pin to keep it from spinning

Third one is definitely a car emblem. How it got there is anyone's guess. The first thing looks to be an id tag from some piece of equipment, but I have no idea what.

You can still get in at Fort Ord ???
Been there many times, but not for 5 or 6 years.

The last item is definitely a Chrysler Corp. pentastar logo. Yours is for a '66 and older model that fit on the fight front fender of just about every model they made. It would be made of anodized aluminum.

I don't think it's a Chrysler emblem. The large piece on the back is bent and threaded. The extra point is to dig into soft material to keep it from spinning. It would be pointless on a metal car fender, etc. I have found a Russian pilot's metal at a nearby park (Vets Park) where Calvary bivouacked. I'm still putting my money on an emblem...maybe not military...but definitely part of a emblem/decoration for clothing, etc.

Not really. It would keep it upright.

I know what you are thinking but its not pointed and the stud doesnt look threaded in the pic.

Nevertheless it will take a picture of a dodge with this emblem to mark it solved.. It shouldnt be hard to find a pic if it
"fit on the fight front fender of just about every model they made."

Do your own research, but that is a trademark (TM) Chrysler emblem. Its not the shape, but the 5point flat star.

yup 3rd one is chrysler emblem, the little divit actually fit into a hole in the fender or trim to keep it from spining, seen a bunch of those things in the salvage yard my dad owned when i was growing up.

Ok, I'm happy now. Weird location though.v a long way from any roads. I guess that's the one unsolvable mystery.

As for the third item, it looks like a broken mirror. There are a lot of mountain bikers. some of the helmets have a little mirror although usually on road racers' helmets. There aren't any manufacturers markings. That's my best guess...but after the emblem...I'm not guessing anymore. ;)

First item is a tag. I'm not sure to what. But it's to some military product probably

Thanks for the help. This is a great site.

It might...difficult to say.

Just because it is in an unusual location, far from common areas that a vehicle "might" be does not nessacarily mean anything, I lived in the desert most of my life, and if anything is possible it will happen! I have found many items that were identifiable as motor vehicle parts many miles from where they should have been. Sometimes people will carry items and then discard them when they get tired. Sorry! But believe that is the customary Chrysler image and rearview mirror from a sixties or early seventies car.

I agree. Someone had a picture of it...perfect match. The train was a narrow spot. So someone had it in their pocket. After 25 years of searching people as a police officer (retired) I've seen everything imaginable in people's pockets. That item definitely solved.
