Hello sponge,

Welcome to TNet, and thanks for showing this find of yours.

I think it might be a door knocker plate, minus the knocker... Perhaps a side view might tell more of the story.

First off i would like to say hello to all hunters. My name is sponge and im an addict to metal. lol I found this piece and was seeing if anyone had any ideas of its identity. Seems to be brass or bronze. Its the same size as a lighter. Someone suggested it is from a ship. Used to cleat rope? Need help.
Gothic, fantasy item? :evil6:

Is that a ram's head? can you post better photos next to a ruler and show the reverse?

Can we get a pic of the back? It looks like it could be a ram head letter opener. Welcome to the forum. :) Breezie
