Found old gold men's ring
I found a very old men's gold ring with "LM 1900" inscribed on the inside. That's the date and the initials.
The ring is made by A.M. Charnier.
Here's my problem, it's heavily tarnished on the outside due to a large amount of copper in the gold, ( probably a very low grade of gold.)
I have tried a hot/soapy scrub with poor results but I am wondering if I can using the hot hydrogen peroxide trick on low grade gold?
Anyone have any suggestions and will the hydrogen peroxide destroy the ring?
Thanks.
