Someone left a mushroom print on that rock...

1/2 a hamburger???

it's a imprint of a living biological thing that was stuck there as the rock was formed
that's what i think

It is quartzite with iron stain (streaks), the black is granitic and just happens to be mushroom shaped. It is coincidence, there is no way man can make granite form like that on purpose on a piece of quarzite. JMO, take it for what it is worth. I would have picked that up too because it's a cool formation!

Maybe a geopetal... if it is granite inside probably not so much
Mud fills a void like a shell until it blocks the entrance then later as the sediment is turned to rock minerals flow in and fill the void. Neat little trick to tell which way was up millions of years ago
