Found near bronze spikes, heavy with gold beads inlayed?

Hello, I found this very heavy item, which seems to have gold beads inlayed. It was in the area of the bronze ship spikes I recently posted a "what is it" about. Anyone have a guess as to what the heavy thing with the bead inlay is? could it be a hammered musket ball with beads to make it into a jewelry item? I look forward to your thoughts. Thank you. George.
