Outstanding! Thats a fantastic find, espically in your own back yard. I have found a couple of arrowheads on my place, but no old coins. I'm a bit green over your great find. COngrats!

thats a great find! its in pretty good shape too. the one i found has all of this green crud on it almost like green rust. im still soaking it in olive oil to try to get it off.awesome stuff!! its amazing what you can find in the yard isnt it?!

wow awsome find and it is in really good shapr to! you can try scrubbing with backing powder or soda after soaking for a few weeks. i cleaned some pennies that way and it worked well. has anyone ever tried the elector plate thing you put in boiling hot water and add baking soda then it turns tarnshied silver to gleeming bright silver in like two seconds? I wonder how that would work on coins?
 

JT, that's awesome.

Ask comfy (Lance) how he cleans his large cents. They always look nice. I think he uses a brass brush.
