cool, so i came up with a new idea on possibly finding new grounds in the city, and being legal about it. i picked a spot, tried my theory and yup yup. i first found some wheaties right away, so i decided to stay, 5 min later, a nickel shaped coin, i gently brushed and saw right away it was not a everyday coin, so while kneeling down i slipped it under my sock in my shoe, just in case. i hunt about half hour more, then get a nice 25c signal, i dig and dig and what i think is a medallion im like cool!!! then get on out of there. when i get home my medallion is a old water meter cap :( low serial numbers, with pat dates from 1800's, but i think it dates to 1930's from company info. anyone know how to get a better date on this thing? The v nickel is 1912, not a s mint :( and the cool key, well you can see im a bad shot, real bad, 2wice bad, lol, at least it was on the key and not the coins.
