Plan A was a wash, art fair, great weather and way too many people at the park . So I went to plan B.. small park, tot lot ect. I was just about ready to call it a day when the CTX gave a 12:47. 9:48 (that was a different signal..) so I dug the plug and out popped this.. I will have to go back to the park when there is a little more rain.. Thanks for looking

Nice digs . Thanks for the pics

Great find. Beautiful design on those!

-Lady Liberty is hot stuff...especially on a coin

Nice find, I still haven't got an SLQ yet.

Hope you find many more.

Pete

We're you at my in-laws house, too? I found my first slq this past saturday and no joke, it looks identical to the one i found. Same amount of wear and in the same places. It's uncanny. Here's the pic to show the similarities.IMAG0405.jpgIMAG0406.jpg I do see some little differences but either way, BEAUTIFUL COIN, man!:headbang:

Congrats on a beautiful coin. They're pretty rare finds in my limited experience- hope your good luck continues!

The SLQ's that come out of the ground w/ a date are fake you know.:laughing7: nice find.

Thanks to all, much appreciated.. :icon_thumright:

Still searching for my first standing liberty. Congrats!

Congrats on your first SLQ. You probably have one dated prior to 1925 as that's when they recessed the date. Talking about the CTX, there's nothing like being pretty deep in the woods and getting a deep 12:47. You know you either have a silver quarter or early copper and I love them both.
