looks like they made it into a ring !!!

or attempted to make one

Is, or should I say, was that a Walking Liberty? What a shame.

Maybe they needed a quarter for the vending machine and cut one out. ;D

Congrats On The Silver Doghnut

I'm not sure if i'd be happy or ready to punch the person that ruined a perfectly good silver half

You know what? I've found a dozen Walkers or so, and I wouldn't mind finding one in that condition! Our hobby involves finding metal artifacts, no matter their form; that's a cool find!

When I found it I thought it was some kind of medal and there was surpose to be something in the center. So I hunted that area pretty good but found nothing. After I got it home and cleaned it up some that is when I saw what it was. I need to get back to that area to see what else is there for me to find.....Matt

That's crazy :o They put way more than a hole in it :laughing7: I think that's the coolest things about this hobby, you never know what you're going to dig up

Cool find M! Yes, looks like someones's attempt at ring-making! I'm ruining a 1964 Kennedy right now, LOL! ffd

on first thought what a shame, but on second thought, that is a one-of-a-kind find and... it's Silver!
