went out for my nightly beach walk for about 3 hours or so.. not much to find, about 3 bux in change and almost 30 ptabs... right now seems to be high school spring break, which i prefer college because when it gets dark they either go to the club or stay indoors.. so i had to deal with a few hundred drunk spring break high schoolers on the beach in the middle of the night... and had to tell one girl off that i heard say "lets go F with the metal detector guy".. so they walked up to me and tried basically making fun of me, so i told them i heard what she said and to go drink some more an leave me alone.... she said "oh you heard that" and walked away... now i'm only almost 27, but kids these days have no respect.. guys are cool and will ask if i found anything, but the girls are morons..
so after of not much action i was walking back to my car and just before i got to the beach access i got a quarter signal of 45... pinpointed it with the x-terra 50, and scooped it up only about an inch under the sand... was my first ring.. (all jewlery i have ever found so far is 925 silver for some reason.. havent hit any gold yet)

i can read the 925 stamp, but cant identify the stamp above it.. and the writing next to the 2 stamps looks to say THAI.. but i dont know if it was a message that got worn off or not..

any info or help would be appriciated, thanks.. maybe one day i'll have enough silver jewlery to have melted down to a silver coin =)

You sound like me! Over 50 rings and not a one gold yet..however, you search the beaches so you'll get one soon if you keep at it. Congrats on your first ring anyway..first rings are always special.

Sounds like you handled the situation well..I know how it is, I don't like working with an audience either.

About a month ago I was detecting at a school when about a dozen high school girls began to enter my domain..one of them says "Did you find any metal?" I said, "Yeah, a whole bunch"...then they asked me what I found and I told them I found alot of lost keys. One of them blurts out, "Oh I lost mine last week!" I knew she was full of it so I told her the keys were really old.

As I was leaving, the same group was coming back the other way so I yell out "Which one of you said you lost your keys?" The once brave girl who was showing off to her little group then says, "I was just messin' around."

I held up one of the old keys I found and said, "I just wanted to show you this in case you thought I was lying about it."

I think she got the message.

nice find there, yes i love my x-50 learning to use better every day.

Real nice ring, congrats and keep the keepers coming.

Sorry to hear about your difficulties, I can relate.
Last fall, I had 4 your teenage boys attack me
by pelting me with snowballs. They snuck up on me
and surrounded me, nailing me with about 20 snowballs.
When they went to reload, I took off. Back in the day,
I would have grabbed one of them by the ear and
dragged him back to his parents, but in this day and age
you don't dare touch a kid for any reason unless you want
yo get sued or arrested. Oh well, I had dug a gold ring
at that school that day, so leaving with a smile anyway.

Best of luck to you our there. Hope you get your gold soon!

Smiles!
