Good evening everyone. Hope your summer isn't flying by too fast. Mine is always too short.......especially when you can get out and do so much this time of year.

Anyways, went back to the old chuch grounds where an old home used to be. Found silver, V nickle, IH's and lots of old wheats so far. Tonight wasn't too hot, though. Only a 1967 memorial and my best relic find for a while, and my first. Found this old brass lock that is still functional, minus the key. Need help identifying it. I'm guessing early 1900's based on the coinage I have found so far.

Thanks for looking and any help is always appreciated. Ron

Nice find crazy!! WTG

I'll feel crazy in about an hour after I finish off some hard earned Keystone Lights :laughing7:

Nice find, I really dig (no pun intended) old locks, have not found any though. Stopping by the distributor tomorrow to pick up some Keystones myself. Much needed after all the 12 hour nights this week, yuck.

Nice old lock Ron. :icon_thumleft:
Railroad lock perhaps?
Maybe the "S" stands for "South" something? (Southern? Southwest?)
A real beauty.
You are blessed also with my 8000th post on TN. :occasion18: :occasion14:

I'm not far behind you. I know you are an old timer on her........ more than me. I just ramble on somtimes and get bored. Especially in the winter months. What's with this doll thing :laughing7: Just picking on you, Doug.

Nice lock...cleaned up well....would be funny if you found the key also in that area.. :laughing7: Keep digging..

Nice lock!
I think the S stands for Slymaker lock company.

Great job on the ID Leon. You are correct. The symbol is for Slaymaker. :icon_thumleft:

Ron,
Here's another one I found on the net. Different style, but same symbol.
