The other day I was getting all geared up to detect a new site and decided to take a few swings on my property before leaving as a warm up. Dug a copper penny and some trash. Then I got a nice sounding signal from the F2 and started digging. About 4-5 inches down I catch a glimpse of something very shiny which I originally thought was the edge of a thick coin. Blood pressure rising I carefully uncover more of it to find a key. :key: I threw it in my bag not thinking too much of it. Figured it was from an old farm truck. Got bored later and looked it up online, apparently it only was used on two models. It's either a 1965-66 Ford Galaxie or 65-66 Ford LTD ignition and door key. I would love to take either of those for a drive.

Not the oldest or most valuable thing ever dug but I think it's cool. I wonder who owned the car and where it ended up?

happy hunting and thanks for looking

Nice find dirtwizard! In my book - anything you pull out of the ground is a keeper...
