Hello all. I like to search cents with an eyeloop for errors or varieties and made a few good finds in the past including a 55 DD. I also search all the 1998 through 2000 for the Wide AM varieties as well as for other varieties. For those of you that don't know, the wide AM has equal spacing between A, M and E in the word AMERICA on the reverse. The initials FG are also closer to the memorial building on this variety. I believe that the wide AM was accidently struck with a reverse die intended for the proofs of those years but someone correct me if i'm wrong. The 1998 and 2000 are the easier ones to find. I have 4-1998s and 2-2000s so far but this is my 1st 1999WAM. This one is very hard to find. Thanks for reading. Sorry about the poor picture quality but one of these days i'm going to splurge on a better camera.

Very nice high grade, also. The zincolns get splotchy from skin oils, but yours seems to have not been handled much. Cents also are a favorite distraction of mine.

Thanks DD. It does have some spots and a what looks like a fingerprint on the obverse, also a couple small dings. Still a tough variety to find.

Thanks for the pic. I've looked forever for one of those, or for a 1992 CAM, and it's tough to tell sometimes. I can see from yours there is no question about it.

Nice find and thanks for the pic. I was never sure how obvious these are; good to know I haven't thrown one back without realizing it.

Nice find - I've found a couple 2000 wides AMs but never got the 99. Good find there. Congrats.

For those on the hunt for these varieties, be sure to not just check the A-M, but also check the FG initials. Late die state can give the illusion that a wide AM variety has been found when in fact it isn't.

Thanks DD for the link and for the replies. I think i turned that coin over quite a few times to make sure it was a 1999. Never know what's going to show up. Found a rusty and corroded 1880 Indian cent about a half hour ago in another roll.

Nice find considering how few of the others you have found. I have found only 1 myself and over 100 of the other two.

Ive now found three 1999 WAMs, that is nicer than all but my first, nice find.

Very nice find! I bought a loupe to better investigate finds. All I've done is let myself down. Take good care of it!

Thanks for the replies. Came as a surprise to me as i've been in a bit of a slump lately. Here's a couple of better pics. Notice the separation between the A and M? You might have to magnify the page to see it better.

If that had been out there much longer, it would have started to go downhill. Nice timing, lol. I'd call it a 62 RD.
