This has turned out to be my gold month this year ! Today I found my 4th gold item in May . My hunting buddy Ryan ( EAGLEFORCE ) and I found a new school to hunt this morning , it's in the hood . We try not to hunt very much in the bad side of town but , this school has been on our mind for awhile now . As soon as we turned on our machines clad was everywhere ! I think this school has never been hunted ! Ryan found over $12.00 and a nice chunky silver ring , his #48  . I found $14.52 in clad and a nice 14K gold ring , #71 . It was a +18 VDI at 3 inches and weighs 3.9 grams :headbang: . This school has so much trash I would have never thought I would find gold . It was a great hunt and I'm thinking about going back tomorrow . The 3rd picture is Ryan's silver ring still in it's dirt cocoon

Now that is one heck of a haul...lots of holes dug. Hope you find #72 soon.

Man that's a lot of trash and other crap you dug. Guess it's good when you get a nice ring.

love to see the gold still sleeping in its plug Glen, Whites machines sure hit hard on gold in the trashiest areas

Congrats on the rings! I get frustrated hunting for gold, but the places I've been focusing on have been loaded with pull tabs and pop tops. One location, the owner told me a girl lost a gold engagement ring there many years ago & even told me the general area where she thinks she dropped it. The problem is the ground is so full of tabs (this is a hall where they have events and receptions, etc) it sounds like popcorn going off on my detector. It'd be easier to dig and sift the whole area!
Any tips on finding the gold, other than to dig every target?

It will take time in a place like that . You might have to keep digging the pull tabs till you clean it out then you will find the gold . Try a smaller coil if you have one for trashy areas .
Good luck !

Nice hunt today Glen :occasion14: .. Its good to be back swingin' again! Sweeeeeet find on that Gold Ring. Looks to be old to me. Thanks for posting my ring too! Glad u have ur camera out there in the field for the "cacoon" effect.

ring king. keep those posts coming - i love it.

Unfortunately, those schools in bad areas are probably just where you'd find the good stuff. Just bring your hunting buddies!!! Yay!!!
