I found me a Franklin Half yesterday. I'm considering sending it off to SGS to get it slabbed as a PR70 Proof. Obviously I won't get the Ultra Deep Cameo Mirror Like designation and it will have a "Details: Scratch on Reverse".

I just wanted to ask you guys, how much extra should I put in the envelope for the grader to make sure it gets the PR70 grade and not some measly PR69.

hello, extra in the envelope.... nothing ,,,, that will definitly grade up to a PR70.... don't worry the scratch on the back is a mint error enhancement that will increase its value.... high point being the airyness of the coins over all look though....... ok, just send it off to the smelters and put it out of its misery...... take care and HH

WTF? key chain maybe? great candidate for melt.

Yeah, this baby is going straight into the 64 Kennedy pile. Don't know when I'll send it out, but it does have a date pending with the smelter.

For those who didn't know who SGS is, they are a "grading" company that slabs all their own coins and sells them on eBay. Despite the obvious frauds they have committed, they just won't go away. You would be very hard pressed to find anything graded less than MS70 or PR70 by them.

So true XX, I dont think that SGS grades much under a 70 ... they are criminals imo... anyways yours would prolly grade up towards a 69 from them :icon_jokercolor:
