1st - I noticed this was your very first post - so, Welcome Aboard RoyJ! You didn't list your state (or country) in your profile. So, you might consider jumping over to Sub-Forum: Select Your Area.... and selecting location information (i.e., clubs, hunts, finds, legends, maps, etc.) directly related to your state (or country).

2nd - A picture(s) is worth a zillion words! If you are having problems posting pictures - take a look at: How to post pictures with your story...

3rd - I moved (and merged) ya from NEW MEMBER INTRODUCTIONS and two threads in BOTTLES & GLASS over to WHAT IS IT? for more exposure and to make it easier on you to keep track of the replies.

We really need to see pictures of things if you expect any kind of reasonable identification.

I took a quick look and found that Cuervo didn't begin selling tequila in bottles until the 1880's (they were the first to do so) when they got the idea to start marketing in the USA. Prior to that it was delivered in wooden casks.

Saw the same as DCMatt, guessing that's the one they are referring to. According to the Tequila Museum website: "... the early Jose Cuervo Cincuentenario white bottle / gold lettering. It is 202 years old and has a current value in excess of $4,000." But not clear the source or any other comparable.

Yeah, I think this guy has been consuming his collection. I would be very surprised if this bottle is over 200 years old.

Bottle Valuation

I think 'Cincuentenario' in this case, is the product name (like Cuervo 'Gold' or Tradicional').

It commemorates a date but doesn't imply it. I'm not a bottle expert but, to my eye, the style of this bottle is early - mid 20th C.

That said, I did find the sale of one on ebay in 2015 - $499.99 USD! But the pictures were gone from the listing...

Found a little information.

This auction from Nezahualcoyoti, Mexico sold for $ 499.99 in 2015.

"Antiguo Jose Cuervo Tequila cincuentenario 1845? Botella De Cerámica sólo México Raro"

Lofisa.jpg

1845 doesn't seem right, the one represented in the museum seems off.
My guess is 1950 - 1980's, when this factory was last active.

Another site gives the following history for Lofisa.

"A ceramics factory based in Guadalajara, Mexico, LOFISA was in business from 1875 to the early 1980's. Proud of Mexico's artistic heritage, they employed local artisans to create original designs, which helped introduce the rest of the world to Mexico's unique cultural landscape.
