found items today on old Rice Plantation

I found these 2 items on an old rice plantation and i know one of them is a coin but am not sure why it has a hole in it. The other one says Missouri State Approved and a Date which i cant make out with the numbers 70653. Any help would be great.

It is an old bird band. The hole in the coin norm means that it was worn maybe someones b day or lucky coin

Actually, your coin is not a 2Reales, but a 1 Real. It has a hole because coins were carried in money belts made of leather or on a small metal wire to keep them safe and in one place. Yours was obviously holed to keep it on a wire. Many early coins are holed in this manner. I take it this is your first Spanish Silver coin?Cheers,Buck

Just remember to drink lots of water and over lap you swings and use grids :-)

Thanks BB. I have a few somewhere but I keep forgeting the sizes.

Years ago I actualy used one to make an emergency phone call in a payphone because I couldnt get change and it was all I had in my pocket. I made my call... calls were a quarter.
