🔎 UNIDENTIFIED Found in Southern Arizona in late 70's. Is it a mine marker?

What in the world ???? I did not see the face on there at first ... That is some incredible looking shit there man, I don't know about a mine but I've never seen anything like that before.

1906 date and an ONJ monogram, or whichever order they are read in.

I didn't see the face either, until I went back and looked, while trying to figure out what TORRERO was smoking!

cool piece, was it found near a mine
the letters look like J O N jon
maybe a bored ranch hand, miner making a self portrait in rock

It was in superstition mountains, I've contacted a museum there for info. I think it's pretty cool so have held on to it all these years, just really curious about it.

went to the Tom Kollenborn Chronicles,Tom recorded a lot of info, stories about the superstation's
so looked for a Jon, and found an article about a John Chuning I don't know if the Jon face stone
is John Chuning, might be worth looking into, as he looked for Waltz mine
