I'm trying to identify the item it's about an inch and a half tall in about an inch wide not very big the rock is black and if you look closely it's got a little red spots in it I have two of them ones not finished
It looks water worn. Like the others have said, you have to show us pics of the knapping evidence that are in focus; close-up and at various, key angles. So, those are the new pics I'm looking forward to seeing. Thanks.
Not sure if it is a artifact, while growing up in Oklahoma we would walk around the lake and find arrowheads all the time. Mostly flintrock and you could see where the edges had been chipped away to make a sharp edge. some were used as tools and you could see the wear of the thumb area. It may have been used by someone long ago or just a rock that looks like something we want it to be. I try to hang on to things im not sure about because sooner or later I will run into someone that does know and can answer my questions. If you find two that look identical then chances are it may be something, most rocks have their own personality never identical twins. I found some rectangle metal 2 inches by 4 inches possibly used to make bullets, looks like lead. found on Boca Chica Beach, Brownsville, Texas while water hunting. lot of troop in that area and campsites. one battle fought close by. still trying to figure out what those are. maybe I should post picture see if someone knows. Keep hunting my friend and find everything you can.
