This is thin and likely brass or copper. The stamped letters "OLDSMO, Taft Moto, Broadw" can be seen, along with some scrolling and artwork. Looks like it was cut or sheared off. My guess is a letter opener, maybe used as a promotional piece by an auto dealership, but searches on those words didn't result in much. Thanks for peeking at my mysteries and any feedback is welcome.

Can't help with "Taft Moto" but the item is likely from the 1920's.

Only having a design on one side would make me think its an early horseless carriage ornament, not an opener. The beveling only looks to be on one side as well but I could not tell for sure.

Possibly from Taft Oklahoma?
