Found in NY Bell perhaps?

I found this mding in ny, near a creek in an area thats has early indian presense. I know its brass from haveing it tested by a jeweler. It has an interesting design careved into it, and a hoop, leading to it being worn by someone or something. it would be in perfect shape if it werent for the BULLET HOLE in it, i determind that its a small caliber(22 most likely), cause this metal is almost unbendable, but where the hole is it had enough force to dent and bend near the point of impact, Any thoughts folks Craig...
