✅ SOLVED Found in my yard today

Hey all, this is my first post. I'm new to metal detecting but have had an interest for as far back as I can remember lol.
I'm not sure what I have here but I found this in my yard today.
Here's a little info:

seems to be some type of iron or iron base, about 2.5", flimsy metal piece on top may have been a loop to hang from or pull with.

If anyone has any ideas I'd love to hear them.

It looks like it might be a "Damper" for a stove, but I'm not sure.
