Man, I wish I knew what I was doing with my first MD when I was stationed at DLI. I found an 1805 LC on base, but as soon as I found it I rushed home to the barracks like an idiot instead of scoping the area.

Been on all of them for official duties and for leisure. The Presidio of Monterey's Defence Language Institute, Naval Post Graduate School, and the now closed Fort Ord. The OP isn't hunting in that area alone. A lot of history in that Bay, treasure in the Bay and beaches. The Cali gang up there find it consistently.

Yeah I got that. I was saying I wish I was smarter about MDing than I was, I probably would have gotten a good machine from the start instead of wasting my time on Fisherman's Wharf and riding my scooter around.
