I can't figure out what these were used for or what you call them. I did clean one with silver polish and it turned out pretty good. The shaft is 4.5 inches long. The bowl end is about the size of a dime. A camel on one end. The other end has writhing I think. Any help is appreciated. Thanks.

I bet you'll find those spoon bowls are coins... I also think they are snuff spoons.

They kinda look like annointing spoons but I don't know where the camel comes in?

Probably regional... where is the coin from? It all looks middle eastern to me.

I've been googling "coin spoon" and finding all kinds of stuff... used for snuff, salt, sugar... etc.

I think coin spoons also. With the camel I would think the Near East,Turkey?,Egypt?,Morroco,Persia? You need a coin guy to find the country.Probably mid to late 1800's.Could well be used as salt spoons.

Afghani cocaine snifter. Actually I haven't a clue. I've never seen any of these before, but apparently they have been around quite a while. Monty

Not 1800s and not from the above countries :) - I can see the Islamic Calendar date on the coin which reads 1354 - this converts to 1935 in the Christian Calendar. Nice coin bowl spoons - just used as you would to get anything out of a bowl with a spoon. The coins on the red background in the post above this one are not so much from a country but are of an empire - the Ottoman Empire which lasted from 1299 - 1923 and spanned three continents and many countries. You can however certainly determine which Mint in the empire made the coins. Your spoons however are not Ottoman empire.

They are in fact made from coins from Saudi Arabia and are 1935 1/2 or 1/4 Riyals' and are .917 silver - I can't see which as the full detail isn't in your photo due to the curve of the spoon. 1935 was the first year of issue of coins under the new Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
