These two items were found in an attic of an old house not sure what they are. The first one I'm thinking might be the ring out what clothes after washing? I'm at a loss on both. See photos.

The first thing is a clothes dryer wringer- 2nd thing is a cream separator

mojjax nailed it! The wringer was set uo on the side of a square tub and clothes were wrung into another tub. De Laval was the leading manufacturer dairy equiptment. Tony

I remember using the clothes wringer. My older sister was cranking it, and I was feeding in clothes. I held onto the clothes too long. It really hurt.

For your interest the laundry wringer is known as a 'mangle' here, and in the UK.

It ain't that far back! For the first five or six years we were married my wife used a ringer washer. We were on a well too small for a "real" washing machine.

My arm has a nasty scar from one of the wringer washing machine.

I remember those wringers from when I was a kid, and was informed that they would flatten me out if I got stuck in one.
