No idea....Maybe someone would have info on the rock/gem forum!

They look like Sikhote Alin specimens.

Sorry if I offend but I think it's magma crust. The puffy inside gives me that impression. And too flat for a meteor it would have broken in kind of a jagged roundish shape.

Ooh i just thought because of the melted look on one side it may be a meteor fragment.the two peices are magnetic and heavy for there size. you will never know unless you ask.thanks

Do you mean, attracted to a magnet? Or are they themselves magnetic? They look like a type of meteorite from Russia called Sikhote Alin, type that into google images and see for yourself. Are they for sale? If so, pm me with your asking price and weight of each specimen in grams.

The pair are not Magnetiv but a magnet will attach.(not very strongly) as for the weight I'll be getting a digital in the morning and post the weight. I looked up the sikhote and yes looks similar to many pictures.

New picas

I thought the one on the right in the original photo might be a Sikhote Alin as well. But the new photos rule out meteorite altogether, IMHO. I've seen the stuff before but I'm not a rock and mineral collector. If there is a forum just for that, ask there next if no one here nails it. It's not Sikhote Alin for sure and I'm pretty sure it's not a meteorite.

Good news then bad news. Ooh well that how the rock crumbles.lol any idea at to what the two might be?

Not meteoritic, IMO. However, the stone on the right may be meteorite-related. It looks similar to a tektite: a piece of earth which was blasted out of a meteor crater while still molten, then re-entered the atmosphere some distance away. Try searching for tektites. They look like volcanic glass (obsidian), but have a peculiar bubbly appearance caused by being liquified by force of impact, then solidifying in the air.

No opinion on stone on left.

Very interesting.i will indeed look that up. If my rock is "related" is there a market for it?

No, it isn't a tektite. It might be the mineral known as goethite.
