Hello All. Found this "1/2" piece at a fish camp first occupied around 1900. It must have denoted a "1/2" size for something, but what? It is brass and has no engraving on the back side. All ideas are welcome.

A pipe strap with an inside diameter of 1/2 inch.

That is my guess.


If you fold it into a circle, yadda yadda, you get my drift?

Hello CoinFetcher and Gunrunner61. A vintage 1/2-IN pipe strap makes perfect sense, but I was hoping for something more elegant. Thanks for the reply. HH. C9

Okay, then how about this?

Upon my ex-wifes autopsy the coroner found it attached to the inside of her brain where the reasoning section exists.
