While looking for the now infamous $370,000 diamond ring lost off the Daytona Beach pier I found a crematory tag. (see attachment) I suspect it was part of someone's remains that were spread from the pier. I have a question as to what the proper thing is to do with it. Do I return it? Do I replace it where I found it? Or, do I just consider it an artifact found with no real significance?

I think I would replace it! But can't imagine someone dropping the whole urn into the water.

One of our local members had found one a year or two ago. He ended up returning it to the same spot he found it. BAD JUU JUU!! LOL 8)

One of my friends lost his wife two months ago and threw her ashes into the Pacific--urn and all. I think that's where he'd like to believe they still are. I'd return this artifact to where it was found.
Don.....

Return it to the Ocean!!! That's were they wanted to be.

Happy Hunting!!

I agree would toss it off the end of the pier and maybe the spirit will help you find the ring !

That's what I like to think too!

Oh. I think I would return it to. That bad Ju Ju stuff kinda creeps me out.

Well, I don't believe in all the spirit ju ju stuff :-\ but i'd through it back in the ocean simply because that's where it was meant to be. :)

Put it back where it was found. And good luck on the ring. I wouldn't be searching the water, though. It is probably stored in a friend's safety deposit box. Sounds like a case of insurance fraud.

I agree. Bad Ju-Ju. I would return it back to where you found it.

Keep it as a find with no real significance ! :icon_thumleft: I don't want to offend anyone but.... :icon_scratch: One its a metal tag, two whoever had it is dead. I don't think they care, they are somewhere else most likely to enlightened or in some other place to even care. Its not like you uncovered some sacred burial. Its just a tag from someones scattered ashes. The family or loved ones most likely want to forget about it and. The person who's ashes it was is most likely in heaven eating grapes looking down on his loved ones and dose not care about it at all. Lighten up people... Lol !! :hello2: :laughing9:

Keep @ it and HH!!

Keep it, all you are doing is cleaning up the beaches from litter that was thrown in the sea. Perhaps it gave you good JU Ju as you missed the motorcycle. Just think how bad you would feel if you hit him? Cleaning the trash has brought you good Ju Ju!

I guess it is a case of is the glass half full?

Good luck on the ring though,

HH,

Dave

Not litter. If this was from the 3rd century it would be considered treasure as it will be hundreds of years from now. I say put it back. Maybe someone will find it centuries from now and treasure it. :)

drop it like it's hot!!!
