I went to a few cool places with a fellow club member today. The first place was an old plantation now a city park. I found a plow and other iron. Also found a 1996 nickel a 1980 stinkin Lincoln and a little whatsit(might be a button from blue jeans or overalls or a rivet). We moved on to our second place in some very thick woods. I found the modern bullets at this location. Our third place was the ruins of a stone chimney over looking the Neuse river. Here I found the silver plate spoon(says Pat Pend For WMA Rogers German Silver and the copyrite sign), the shot gun shells and best of all the 1916 Barber dime! The dime was wedged in along side a big rock down by the water. I am guessing someone was sitting there enjoying the view or fishing and it rolled out of the pocket down next to the rock. It was about 6 inches down. It was a great day to detect in North Carolina!
