I found this interesting "thing" tonight after work. It looks to be hand made. The square piece has some sort of pin that looks like a nail and will rotate. Round at the bottom of the fat part and pointed at the other end. Good luck..... VPR

Is that solid or hollow on the broad end. Almost looks like sometning is missing from the fat end of it.
