In an old cabin (above) two old time prospectors made a "strike"
uncovering $5,000.00 worth of gold coins (lower right)
in the ghost town of Aurora, Nev. Lower Left shows
the ruins of the town in 1929.

US state of Nevada, approximately 22 mi southwest of the town of Hawthorne, three miles from the California border. Today the townsite is much diminished.




 

I found a mercury dime and a Liberty head nickel under an old clawfoot tub in an abandoned house.......that's about as close as I will ever get. Those fellows did real well:thumbsup:
 

yea I got some Indian head Pennies under a Windowsill in my House once .

Don't remember anything else inside That Pre-dates Me
