A friend who is a treasure hunter found this in my yard. My house dates back to the 1700s and it sits on the route the British took after the battle of Monmouth in NJ. Doing some research on the internet the coat of arms resembles that of Col Henry Rutgers, the man whom Rutgers University is named after.

here is a link to the Rutgers Queens guard coat of arms page. https://queensguard-rutgers.org/our-university/our-coat-of-arms/

Any help identifying what this is would be appreciated.

I clicked your link...

This IS a coat of arms... BUT... not related to your link IMO.

First off... the link points to a "rampant lion" coat... and yours IMO is a "rampant wolf".

Along with possibly a double headed griffin.

I am interested in seeing more of this VIA more pictures... including close ups and picture of the back in detail please if you would like "more".

Kinds, sorta like the "Duffy" family crest. Except for the two-headed whatzit above the lion.

(My dog's name is "Duffy")

Sorry about the response time... I am quick usually but am busy...

New pictures are good.

I will say this... this IS old... very old IMO... and shows evidence of being a sand casted piece... which also adds to the "coolness" factors.

Not only is it old... but it is super interesting... AND super cool.

I for one am currently too busy to do any "extensive" research on this but I am sure some others here with some time to spare will also assist and possibly solve.

I will poke my head back into this at some point to see where it is.

Good luck... and cool piece.

OH... and yes IMO is IS a pendant of some form... even if from ribbon.
