Agree. Half of a ladies "butterfly" buckle. Late Victorian.

Yesah I didn't notice how small it was. Does anyone have a pic of the complete buckle? Both sides. I don't think I have ever seen one.

Those two pieces attach and make a heart. The fold on your buckle is would attach to the loop of the other piece.
